My photography Journey

My passion to photography, people and travel is the motive for this blog – Photographia. This photo blog mission is to help enthusiastic photographer (or serious hobbyists, semi professional, or even professional in their early career stage) to promote and improve their work and their art. It is called the “photography journey” and it will reflect my personal journey as a photographer. I started as an amateur with my Film Minolta SLR and while moved to the digital era, I shifted my gear into Canon which in those days was the only company with full frame DSLR. In parallel to my career as a Human Resource Vice president in Hi-Tech companies, I developed seriously my career as a Photographer.

I experience the photography in several aspects. As an:

• R-tist - most of my work deals with people, values and emotions. I presented some of my work in few exhibitions (see next paragraph). Currently, I’m working on my book, named “Best places locations for people photography”.
• Story teller in pictures – as an anthropologist, psychologist and and world traveler  I like to  tell strories, about the people I met,  in pictures. Before any trip or photography session, I learn in advance the community that I planned to visit, thier habits and customs.
• Business coacher - as someone that has years of experience as an executive and busines consultant, I decided to support young photographers, with their first step in the business of Photography, by helping them to develop a business plan, support mentally, with artisitc guidance. I do it on personal level and through this blog.

My Exhibitions

• The first one which called “(Wo)Men at work” (2004) individual, The Yahalom gallery , Ramat Gan, Israel –  dealt with people at work and focused on people that have handy work.
• The second called  ”sport fans” (2005) individual, Eretz Israel Museum - Tel Aviv, Israel – Dealt with all cultural, ceremonies, emotions of sport fans.
• The third one called “Creating from the draw” (2005) group, the 49th floor gallery, Tel Aviv, Israel – group exhibition of artists that work fr their leaving in other jobs (like me, Lawyers, accountants, CEO etc).
• The forth one – graduation exhibition “our values”  (2008) group, Alvarion, Tel Aviv – my part was the Israeli philharmonic Orchestra.

In this blog, Photographia, I present sample photos from my own web gallery and my photographs from my commercial photo site. and for each one of the photo I will present technical data s well as how did I got this picture, and the story of this frame.

My Work

As a Photographer I’m photographing for my artistic work, which from time to time, is presented by Israeli galleries. As a story teller in pictures, photograph as much as I can and sell my pictorial stories through my website at Photoshelter. so if you are a photo buyer, decor, photo editor, magazin’s editor, you should direct yourself to my Photoshelter gallery and to choose from hundreds of photos that tell a stroy about great people from all over the world. My main focus in these galleries is people, faces, families, tribes, emotions,  and the human behavior. So although my main Interest is photographing people, some of my web galleries present other aspects such as: Macro photography, landscape photography, Travel photography of great places from the world.
